Photo Galleries - Introduction

Commercial Photography

Specializing in industrial images for brochures and web advertising, my approach is make sure any work is planned appropriately for good weather, blue sky, nighttime, dawn or dusk situations, making timing crucial. Using a wide array of lenses to emphasize the structure of the subject, I produce images which contain elements of art and symbolism. Whether natural or man-made subjects, my images portray a vision of strong economic growth!

Conference Photography

There is a knack to this section, and that is - knowing what is going to happen before it does. Conference photography contains ‘fly on the wall’ documentary; picturing the right people to create the desired media image; portraits of notable guest speakers. Some of my best images are often captured during the coffee break when the constraints of public speaking are relaxed. With many conference workshops during the day, I do enjoy scurrying from one forum to another to capture the best results.

Good conference photo content includes gesticulation and determination captured in an atmospheric way. On the Contact Us page is an image of Sir Rocco Forte taken at the Dorchester Hotel. This is one of my favourites, as when Sir Rocco speaks he does not look up often, so my trigger finger had to be on ‘top form’ that day. The image was captured by me lying at ground level on my side to involve the coloured back- lighting, making for a very satisfying photograph.

Public Relations Photography

Images taken in this context document a news/PR story. This is where you require me to shoot from the hip! Illustrating a story or idea to promote your company services, timing is high on the agenda.

The scenario might be: Your PR team and myself are waiting for the company hierarchy to appear and when they do I have only minutes to cajole CEOs to “stand over here please”, “do this please ”, “do that please”,  thank them and see them whisked off. These days, 'time poor' individuals range from the dinner lady to the police officer, from retail staff to the surgeon. So it is up to me to get in, 'shoot', and get out ASAP.
